For years, the NRA has set a high standard for quality firearm education at an affordable price. Thousands of students have received training from dedicated NRA Certified Instructors. For the past 2 years or so, the NRA has been developing a new format for firearm classes: Blended Learning.

Blended Learning is a combination of online education directly from the NRA, followed by an NRA instructor-led portion for the practical range portion. NRA Personal Protection classes will remain unchanged for the moment. Please note that NRA Basic Pistol is now called NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting. To register for the online portion, please visit: https://onlinetraining.nra.org/online-courses/nra-basics-of-pistol-shooting-course/

For questions or concerns about this course, please contact the NRA at 1-800-672-3888, option 6, ext. 1496 or email basicpistol@nrahq.org

The advantages:
* Learn at your own pace and on your schedule
* More time on the range with the instructor(s)
* Consistent and uniform classes nationwide
* Same information, modernized and interactive delivery

Once you have successfully completed the online portion, you will be provided information on how to complete the practical portion. We suggest that you contact an instructor ahead of time who can help you with the process. We hope that you enjoy this new format and look forward to helping you achieve your goals for the range portion!

* Phase I– Online portion is $60 and must be taken first
* Phase II– Instructor-led portion is $125, includes everything necessary for completion with a 2-to-1 student/instructor ratio.
